Lucian Wintrich Speaks at NYU After Postponed Visit

After NYU postponed his Feb. 16 visit, Lucian Wintrich, a conservative White House correspondent for Gateway Pundit, spoke to the NYU College Republicans on Thursday. The event remained peaceful, although audience members trickled out after Wintrich deviated from his original narrative.
By the end of this semester, the committee will announce the new CAS Dean, who will assume Professor Gabrielle Starr’s position.

Search for New CAS Dean Continues

The CAS Dean Search Committee is now reviewing candidates for a new dean, after receiving input from students and faculty in the CAS community.
The Palladium Hall elevators being cleaned after water started leaking from the ceilings on Tuesday. The maintenance work has inconvenienced residents who have been forced to use the stairs to navigate the 16 floor building.

Two NYU professors, Joseph Chow and Constantine Kontokosta, won National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development Awards. The awards are prompted by their research in sustainable energy in urban transportation.

To combat child exploitation, NYU Tandon professor Nasir Memon is helping with the development of a software that detects child pornography. He is working with other professors, NYU Students, and the Department of Homeland Security to create this technology.

On Macrh 15, President Andrew Hamilton sent an email detailing the NYU's efforts to counter Trump's executive order banning immigrants from seven predominantly Muslim countries. However, some NYU activism groups are still unsatisfied with the administration's actions.
A dozen albatrosses were slaughtered and photographed dead in Kaena Point Natural Area Reserve in 2015. Tisch sophomore Christian Gutierrez has been charged with the crime along with two others, who are minors.
