Dan Liu S/S 2017

Everything was coming up roses at Skylight Clarkson Square courtesy of Dan Liu‘s Spring/Summer 2017 Collection gracing the stage. Warm, pinkish hues colored the venue, and an array of roses were laid out on sleek white benches, creating an amorous vibe.

The show whimsically began with one model strolling out from backstage taking a seat at a quaint table and chair set. She dreamily sniffed a red rose before making her way down the runway. Liu‘s consistent inclusion of floral patterns, cap sleeves, and chic embroideries simply emanated romance.

A-lined silhouettes and lace were prominent as well, allowing the collection to resonate with classic style. Many looks were accented by Lime and Soda totes, and eye makeup sparkled with an alluring factor. Standout looks include a pink V-neck multi-layered hem dress, and a unique geometric printed satin dress. The procession of effeminate looks ranging from daytime to evening wear all proved to be elegant, yet accessibly wearable. Ultimately, the collection is delicately feminine, and was presented in an incredibly charming way.
