NYU announced in November that it would launch the Hurricane Maria Assistance Program for students from Puerto Rico affected by the hurricane. It initially committed to accepting 50 students but will accept more because of the large volume of applicants. The students will study tuition-free at NYU for the spring semester.
As the weather gets colder and food for the homeless becomes even more scarce, the holidays should be a time for all of us to not only be thankful for all that we have but to consider the less fortunate and give back.

If colleges want to promote healthy eating that fits into the fast-paced lifestyle so common on in campus life, they should provide these meal replacement services like they would provide any other type of food.
