Athlete to Watch: Steinhardt first-year Siena Moran had a sublime start to her NYU career, finishing in first place at the team’s season opener at Ramapo College on Friday. Keep your eye on the Princeton, New Jersey native as she looks to continue her hot streak.

You Should Know: Two-thirds of the team is first-year students! And there are no seniors!

In One Sentence: The Violets have a young squad, but don’t expect them to roll over easily — see the team’s win in its season opener.

Next game: Sept. 7 at 10 a.m. at the Ron Stontisch Invitational at Vassar College
