Riding the bus is a scenic public transport alternative. The window panes serve as picture frames, capturing picture-perfect street scenes that aren’t available to the underground subway rider. While tourists embrace the MTA’s bus system as a welcoming substitute for hop-on, hop-off buses, New Yorkers avoid it with equal passion. As someone from Los Angeles, I appreciate New York’s public transportation in all of its forms. And as a photographer, I’ve always noticed an overwhelming amount of shoots done on subway trains. Through this photo series, I wanted to do my part to tip the balance in favor of the city’s public bus experience.
