Where I Find Peace
Escaping the honks
From inside the city
To observe
A day’s end.
It moves in the slowest motion,
The sun sets and
Stars appear
But not in the sky.
Through grey architecture,
The constellation of
Business,
Homeless,
Artists,
Reflect in
The water, with
Little flickers of
Warm light.
I feel centered, my seat
Melted into
Blades of grass.
My eyes scan across,
Wondering about the
Lives of each
Shining window,
My thoughts
Interrupted by
Allure.
