4×4: A Quartet of Summer Travel Writings

A collection of stories from four dancers about the summer residencies they attended and how their view of dance and the location changed over time.

As a component of the three-year undergraduate program at the NYU Tisch Department of Dance, students attend three to six week summer residencies in Berlin, Prague, Salzburg, and New York with renowned movement artists. The following four dancers each attended a different residency and wrote personal narratives about their evolving relationship with the art from and the location that they stayed in.
