Courtney Curd is a first-year in LS and plans to transfer to Gallatin to study the history of imperialism in comparative theology. She identifies as a white bisexual cisgender woman. She is multiethnic — British, Irish, Indian, Native American, Mexican and Eastern European. Curd has a couple learning disabilities: stealth dyslexia and dysgraphia. She comes from an upper-middle-class socioeconomic background. She is not religious. Curd explains that having grown up in San Ramon, California, she was surrounded by diversity, though she notes that NYU is even more diverse than where she grew up. She is the Head of Social Media and Communications on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Board and a member of the Model United Nations travel team.
