Georgine’s Fall/Winter 2014 show was nothing short of dramatic, starting in complete darkness with nothing but the glow of iPhones at the ready to illuminate the room. Upbeat electronic music set the tone for the collection, which featured pieces in deep blues and pinks.
The shoes on the first few models really stood out with their ornate cutouts, alternating between nude and metallic hues. These shoes were paired with pieces featuring bright silk navy textiles and Asian-inspired floral patterns.
For the finale, Georgine featured a tailored black top with a long, sequined silver appliqué lace skirt.
Georgine’s collection this season varies slightly from what she’s done in the past. She departed from her tuxedo shirt and bow ties in favor of luxurious furs and silks. The risk payed off, giving her collection an elegant feel. Her tasteful use of color is sure to inspire this season’s trends.
