Spot Dessert Bar previewed autumn-inspired dessert tapas at a press event last week. Chef Ian Kittichai will debut the fall items on Oct. 1 at two Spot locations.
“We are putting seasonal twists on our menu using locally sourced ingredients,” Kittichai said.
Just like Spot classics such as the chocolate green tea lava cake and golden toast, the next seasonal items are visually stunning, playfully plated and absolutely delicious. While the Big Apple, a ricotta cheesecake stuffed with refreshing apple compote and glazed with raspberry purée, looks exactly like a ripe fall apple, the Harvest, a stone fruit shortcake accompanied by cocoa cookie crumbs and black rose tea anglaise, is initially served in a flower pot and deconstructed at the table by the server.
Don’t miss the peach crumble, a roasted half-peach served with almond crumble, vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. All the dishes are available at $8.75.
Spot Dessert Bar is located at 13 St. Marks Pl. and 11 W. 32nd St.
