New Affordability Programs Aim to Speed Students Through College

President Hamilton releases NYU Accelerate, a plan to graduate faster with less student debt. Students are concerned that the program will not achieve long-term affordability.
NYU consists of three governing bodies: the Board of Trustees, the University Senate and the Student Senator’s Council. All contribute to the policies of NYU.

Students Not Alerted on All Instances of Sexual Assault

The number of alerts NYU students receive about sexual assaults that occur on or near campus in no way reflects the number of sexual assaults that actually occur. However, some students believe this is for the best.
Protesters gathered at Schwartz Plaza today to demonstrate in favor of the recent SSC vote and an NYU Board of Trustees member's connection to President Donald Trump. At one point, protesters were positioned in front of the elevator that goes  to President Andrew Hamilton's office.

NYU's Student Labor Action Movement organized a rally today to protest the lack of student representation on NYU's Board of Trustees and board member John Paulson's connection to President Donald Trump.
Several pre-medical students have come forward about their dissatisfaction with the CAS advisers, who have guided some students to stay at NYU longer than four years.  Others think the extra time is necessary for their mastery of their qualifications.

John Sexton, NYU's former President, spoke at a The Review and Debates club event on February 21 at the Kimmel Center.  Sexton discussed free speech and answered the questions about the recent cancellations of controversial speakers.

Earlier this month, NYU administration postponed the NYU College Republicans' scheduled speaker, Lucian Winterish, citing security concerns. The postponement has garnered varied reactions from the student body.
Adjunct professors voted overwhelmingly in favor of a strike. They are demanding health benefits, annuity benefits and course cancellation fees, among other desires.
