Master your mocktails with these delicious drink recipes

 

Tired of a club soda with lime? Try these mocktails instead.

If you have an essay due after the party or you just want to drink something fancy during a weeknight, these mocktail recipes will do just the trick. From light refreshments to strong punches, these drinks allow you to mix things up any day of the week without losing your funds or your consciousness.

“The overpriced fruit box at Space Market” Spritz:

  1. ½ cup fresh sliced strawberries
  2. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  3. 6-8 mint leaves
  4. 1 teaspoon elderflower syrup  
  5. 8 ounces sparkling water 
  6. 1 slice of lemon 
  7. 1 sprig of mint

Instructions:

  1. Combine sliced strawberries, lemon juice, mint and elderflower syrup in a highball glass and muddle carefully.
  2. Add ice and sparkling water, stirring until combined. 
  3. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a slice of lemon. 

Monday in Manhattan (in bed after skipping my 8 a.m.):

  1. 1 ounce tart cherry juice
  2. 1 ounce cranberry juice
  3. 1 ounce orange juice
  4. 1 ounce lemon juice
  5. 2 dashes orange bitters
  6. 1 maraschino cherry

Instructions:

  1. Add juices and bitters into a mixing glass with ice and stir until combined.
  2. Strain into a lowball glass.
  3. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

A College Student’s Cosmopolitan:

  1. 2 ounces cranberry juice 
  2. 3 ounces Ginger Lime Poppi 
  3. 1 teaspoon orange juice
  4. 1 teaspoon lime juice 
  5. 1 orange twist

Instructions:

  1. Add juices and Poppi into a mixing glass with ice and stir until combined.
  2. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. 
  3. Garnish with an orange twist.
