University Agrees to Meet Activists’ Demands on Aramark After 155-Hour Occupation

The Incarceration to Education Coalition ended their 155-hour long occupation in Bobst and Kimmel after NYU agreed to meet some of the organization’s demands, but NYU said “the University cannot make pledges that bind its actions in future years.”

IEC Continues 40-Hour Sit-In at Bobst

Since 8 a.m. on Monday morning, the IEC has occupied Bobst for almost 40 hours to protest NYU’s dining services.
NYU consolidated the Graduate Student Health Insurance Plan with its Comprehensive plan, and now some graduate students have higher co-pays and less coverage on its insurance plans. The New York State Department of Financial Services told WSN that this was not a requirement, even though the university informed graduate students multiple times that it was.
