Professors: Landlords Must Pay MTA

The New York City subway system was riddled with emergency repairs, train delays and system malfunctions this summer. To fix the subway system, Mayor Bill de Blasio plans to tax the rich to pay for repairs, but Governor Andrew Cuomo prefers to make the drivers pay to drive through the city’s most congested parts.

Japan Grants NYU Law $5 Million

The Japanese government has granted NYU Law School five million dollars to advance education in international law. Japan hopes that the donation helps further and enhance legal relations between Japanese and American diplomats.

UCATS and NYU Clash Over Contract Details

As part of their ongoing negotiations, NYU has responded to components UCATS' most recent contract proposal. UCATS claims that it is not satisfied with the university's response and will continue to advocate for certain contract components which have been turned down so far.
In the letter, NYU Divest said that many Board of Trustees members have connections to the fossil fuel industry, which they deem to be conflicts of interest.
