LS Sophomore Honore Collins won three events for the women’s swim team at West Chester University on Jan. 20.

2018-19 Record: 3-3

Athlete to Watch: Stern senior Honore Collins certainly made a splash last season, when she won three national titles in three days at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in March. The swimmer was also named a Google Cloud Academic All-American for her success in and out of the classroom. It will be tough, but everyone is waiting to see if Collins can match or even surpass her historic performances last season.

You Should Know: NYU ‘17 grad and former Violet swimmer Elise Gibbs will return to the team this season — this time as an assistant coach.

In One Sentence: The cat may be out of the bag now about Collins’ talent and ability, but the rest of the team is outstanding as well, so don’t be surprised to continue seeing them in the headlines.

Next competition: Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. at Rowan University.
