Crime Log: Feb. 25-28

The NYU Department of Public Safety received four reports of larceny, one report of controlled substance and one report of motor vehicle theft between Feb. 25 and Feb. 28.
Larceny
On Feb. 26 at 2:30 a.m. Public Safety received a report from a student who said that their laptop was missing from a study lounge at Bobst Library. Police notification was declined.
On Feb. 26 at 10 p.m. a student reported a bicycle missing from a bike rack on Broadway and Waverly Place. The incident is under investigation.
On Feb. 27 at 11:02 a.m. a student’s cell phone was reported to be missing from the Basic Science building. Police notification was declined.
On Feb. 28 at 5:35 p.m. a student’s backpack was reported to be missing from Weinstein Hall. A police report was filed.
Controlled Substance
On Feb. 26 at 11:30 p.m. Public Safety recovered a small amount of marijuana from a dorm room in Third North Residence Hall.
Motor Vehicle Theft
On Feb. 25 at 7:10 a.m. an employee’s car was reported as missing from near Meyer Hall. A police report was filed.
