When an official takes the effort to a make a social statement, not often is it made with genuine intent. Cuomo should endeavor to be the exception, not just another politician speaking in elevated tones with his fingers crossed behind his back.
In an age in which same-sex marriage has been upheld by the Supreme Court as a fundamental right, state legislatures nationwide must do their part to forbid an immensely damaging and medically unsound procedure from occurring within their borders.
While the campaign serves as a powerful reminder of the struggles minorities endure on college campuses, it would benefit from expanding its mission statement.
