From Nov. 14 to 21, the NYU Department of Public Safety received two reports of criminal mischief, two reports of criminal trespass, one report of disorderly conduct, three reports of drug law violation, one report of drug and liquor law violations, one report of fondling, two reports of harassment, 10 reports of larceny and 11 reports of liquor law violation.
Criminal Mischief
On Nov. 17 at 4:10 a.m., an RA reported witnessing vandalism in Rubin Residence Hall. The case was closed and referred to the Office of Community Standards.
On Nov. 16 at 3:15 a.m., an RA reported vandalism in Broome Street Residence Hall. The case was closed and referred to the Office of Community Standards.
Criminal Trespass
On Nov. 17 at 10:13 a.m., a staff member reported an unknown person trespassing and committing destruction of property in Education Building. The person was escorted out. Police notification was declined and the case is open and under investigation.
On Nov. 20 at 12:20 a.m., a Public Safety Officer reported a criminal trespass in Bobst Library. The person was escorted out without incident and the case is open and under investigation.
Disorderly Conduct
On Nov. 18 at 8:50 a.m., a professor reported disorderly conduct in Tisch Hall. The case was closed and referred to the Office of Community Standards.
Drug Law Violation
On Nov. 20 at 7:50 p.m., an RA reported underage alcohol possession and illegal drug possession in West 13th Street Hall. The case was closed and referred to the Office of Community Standards.
On Nov. 16 at 1:55 p.m., Public Safety reported to an illegal drug possession allegation and recovered a small amount of marijuana in Alumni Residence Hall. The case was closed and referred to the Office of Community Standards.
On Nov. 15 at 11:20 p.m., Public Safety reported to an alleged drug law violation allegation and recovered a small amount of marijuana in Lipton Residence Hall. The case was closed and referred to the Office of Community Standards.
Drug and Liquor Law Violations
On Nov. 14 at 2:48 p.m., an RA reported illegal drug law violation and recovered a small amount of marijuana in Lafayette Street Residence Hall. The case is open and under investigation.
Fondling
On Nov. 19 at 12:55 p.m., a student reported sexual harassment outside of 404 Fitness. The case is open and under investigation.
Harassment
On Nov. 21 at 11:15 a.m., a student reported a harassment in 721 Broadway. The case is open and under investigation.
On Nov. 21 at 1:32 a.m., two students report being followed on Eighth Street. The case is open and under investigation.
Larceny
On Nov. 21 at 7:20 p.m., a student reported a larceny in Othmer Residence Hall. A police report was filed and the case is open and under investigation.
On Nov. 20 at 1:10 p.m., a student reported missing money in Rogers Hall. A police report was filed and the case is open and under investigation.
On Nov. 19 at 10:34 p.m., a student reported a theft of funds in Carlyle Court Residence Hall. Police notification was declined and the case is open and under investigation.
On Nov. 19 at 6:02 p.m., a student reported missing clothing in 404. Police notification was declined and the case is open and under investigation.
On Nov. 18 at 5:10 p.m., a staff member reported a larceny of various food items in Weinstein Food Court. Police notification was declined and the case is open and under investigation.
On Nov. 18 at 4:48 p.m., a staff member reported a missing iPad in Dibner Library. Police notification was declined and the case is open and under investigation.
On Nov. 16 at 3:30 a.m., students report various kitchen items missing in Third Avenue North Residence Hall. The case was closed and referred to the Office of Community Standards.
On Nov. 16 at 7:34 p.m., a student reported a bike theft at East Fourth Street and Lafayette Street. A police report was filed and the case is open and under investigation.
On Nov. 15 at 5:41 p.m., a staff member reported missing production equipment in 721 Broadway. A police report will be filed at a later time and the case is open and under investigation.
On Nov. 15 at 1:46 p.m., a student reported the larceny of his phone in Weinstein Residence Hall. Police notification was declined and the case is open and under investigation.
