NYU must decide whether they want to be the university of diversity, equity, and inclusion, that it claims to be. The days of turning a blind eye are over.
Additionally, we understand how some may wonder what effect Bill de Blasio’s endorsement for our campaign will have on a private university’s decision making. Looking onward, we are in communications with the Mayor’s youth liaison office, setting up meetings and working on tangible ways to pressure the school’s administration into achieving our goals.
The timing of this NFL kneeling event demonstrates the selfishness of NFL players and owners. By kneeling after President Trump’s comments, they have made protesting the national anthem about them.
But when deeds of aggression and crude misogyny aren’t enough to sway our vote, where can we turn to direct the moral conversation and condemn violence?

Hispanic Heritage Month is from Sept. 15 to Aug. 15 and is proudly celebrated by Hispanics throughout the U.S. For me, celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month this year will be different because for the first time in 18 years, I will not be in a city that is predominately Hispanic.

Political correctness is not a negotiation. It is a monopoly on truth and language with a set of principles that compels you to act and speak in a particular way, which you had no part of agreeing to.
Holding such events in sake of racial diversity and then decorating them in such offensive manners is not only distasteful, but unacceptable in the 21st century.
