Opinion: Dining restrictions are hurting students’ wellbeing

Despite NYU’s commitment to student health, mental health struggles are slipping under the radar. COVID-related dining restrictions curtailing eating spaces are negatively impacting the wellbeing of students, especially those who have complex relationships with food.

Lipton Dining hall is going vegan from April 23 to April 26 for Earth Week, which starts April 22. The AWC, a student group for animal rights, advocated the three day event at Lipton.

The university must call upon their partner to remedy this inhumane treatment of prisoners immediately, and if they refuse, NYU must find a new food service partner.
