Elizabeth Warren is an influential, galvanizing politician who has the proper combination of policy expertise and personal charisma that would be wasted on the vice presidency.
While the elusive, mystifying cool factor will likely continue to confound politicians and voters alike, a larger degree of self-awareness must be in order. To go beyond the cool, beyond the superficial and the promises can be challenging in a society that is as image-obsessed as ours.
The nature of political discourse is inherently personal and provocative; if one contributes to the public sphere only by prodding with crude and inarticulate talking points, then they should expect that others will respond in kind.
