The NYU College of Dentistry Global Student Outreach team providing emergency dental care to residents in Machias, Maine. The team has collaborated with the Washington County Children Program to provide free dental care in the county since 2009.

The NYU College of Dentistry Global Student Outreach program partnered with the Washington County Children Program at the beginning of this month to provide comprehensive and emergency dental care to children and adults in Maine.
The NYU Class of 2021 has been announced to be the most diverse class in NYU’s history, with 17 percent of admits being first-generation students, and the Latinx and African-American populations representing a greater proportion of the class body.

NYU Shanghai will hold its first commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 28. The graduating class of 300 students first enrolled at the Shanghai campus in 2013.
Miguel Modestino, assistant professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the Tandon School of Engineering, was awarded the H&M Foundation’s Global Change Award. He found a way to produce a fabric similar to nylon using solar energy, plant waste and water, instead of oil.

NYU Class of 2021 has the lowest acceptance rate in the last 16 years, falling at 27 percent from last year's 35 percent.

The acceptance rate for NYU's class of 2021 fell from 2016's 35 percent to 27 percent. The admission demographic also highlights the largest percentage of international students in NYU's history and the largest percentage of African-American and Latinx students in the last 16 years.
According to a report from a website called Recorded Future, a Russian speaking hacker, Rasputin, threatened to sell NYU student and faculty bank routing numbers and social security numbers on the darknet. NYU was one of 60 reported universities and government agencies targeted in the attack.
