Crime Log: Nov. 17 to Nov. 21

From Nov. 17 to Nov. 21, The NYU Department of Public Safety received one report of a controlled substance violation, one report of criminal mischief and two reports of larceny.

Controlled Substance

Violations

On Nov. 21 at 10:15 p.m., Public Safety responded to a report of an alleged controlled substance violation in Alumni Hall and recovered a small amount of marijuana from the residence. The case has been referred to the Office of Community Standards.

Criminal Mischief

On Nov. 19 at 8:08 a.m., an NYU student reported that he saw graffiti written in a bathroom stall on Lower Level 1 of Elmer Holmes Bobst Library. Police notification was declined, and the case is open and under investigation.

Larceny

On Nov. 20 at 11:40 a.m., an NYU staff member reported that a package was missing from a desk in the Founders Residence Hall Resource Center. Police notification was declined, and the case is open and under investigation.

On Nov. 21 at 10:15 p.m., an NYU student reported that her bike tire was missing from her bike at the Vanderbilt bike rack. The case is open and under investigation.
