Tamil Robinson, having spearheaded the Allen Iverson I-3 Sports and Rconic Collections by AMIAT (All Moods in All Textiles), showcased a bold and colorful collection at the Affinia hotel. The signature light baby blue color seen throughout exuded delicate grace while the vibrant pops of melon emanated an edgy feel. The collection echoed the soft femininity of the 1920s while incorporating smart, modern designs.
Robinson took his extensive background in athletic wear and weaved it into his Spring/Summer 2016 styles. The clothing was made of light, breathable fabrics and combined contemporary sophistication with ease.
The menswear was rich with classic craftsmanship and color blocking. Robinson took the classic blazer and elevated the design with his creative abstract shapes. The hallmark piece of this collection was a wrap dress, crafted in a variety of textile patterns and, most importantly, in Robinson’s signature houndstooth pattern.
A standout detail was a graffiti print that was featured on leather handbags and a confetti print that was paired with a silk baby doll dress. All in all, the delicate pink and gold ambience paired well with the soft flow of the collection.
Overall, this collection featured a melange of colors as well as a variety of free-hand and abstract shapes, all of which Robinson executed with impeccable brilliance and grace.
