Despite low efficiency of this year's flu vaccine, NYU should require that all students, faculty and staff receive a flu shot each year. Marginal protection is better than not having any protection at all.

This year's flu season is the worst in nearly a decade. While national hospitalization has skyrocketed, the NYU Health Center has seen a relatively small number of new cases.
Even if Tamiflu cannot reduce the transmission of the virus, it definitively reduces both the time people are affected by symptoms and the mortality of the infection.
