Faith Marnecheck, Culture Editor

Faith is a sophomore in CAS double majoring in Journalism and the cross-departmental major of Spanish and Linguistics. She is minoring in Animal Studies, which she is especially excited about because she is vegan and very passionate about animal’s rights. She is proudly from Cleveland, where most of her family still lives. She lives with her beagle-mix Roxie, who is the official staff dog of WSN. Roxie is nine and also moved from Cleveland. Whenever Faith is editing, Roxie can be found wandering the newsroom in a cute doggie backpack looking for food and to be pet.

From the Inside Out: Holier’ Than Thou

A perennial trend within the world of beauty, tattoos and piercings have been in vogue since some of the earliest civilizations. Arguably one of the most personal forms of of self expression, tattoos and piercings serve not only an aesthetic decoration but also an internal and intimate function as well.
