Rita Vinieris’s show exuded color in all essences of the word. From the New York City skyline establishing the setting and the green table settings with violet and yellow flower centerpieces, to her looks of empire waist, A-line, mermaid dresses and other silhouettes. Furthermore, Vinieris fulfills the ideals of any woman’s perfect evening out with her Spring Summer 2016 collection. Based in New York, Vinieris presented her couture collection luxurously at the Rooftop Terrace of Carnegie Hall for her eponymous label. The show had something for every unique style, from the most urban looks to the timeless classics.
This season’s designs seemed to insist on fluidity and grace. The show began with slow jazz music as the models in bright, sleeveless jumpsuits of red, green and blue appeared. The jumpsuits were adorned with cutouts at the waist and back and the models walked with confidence that made the looks ever more radiant.
After these more urban looks came the timeless evening wear designs that have become synonymous with Vinieris’ name in the world of fashion. The colors became more cloudy, ranging from black and charcoal to light beige and gray, but this did nothing to disrupt the fluidity of the looks. A black lace strapless mermaid silhouette stole the show with its dramatic contrast of sheer black lace beige undertone. The show continued with high low dresses with feet of flowing net that left the audience’s eyes lingering as they made their way off stage. The timeless elegance of these pieces will again ensure Vinieris’ name as an important one in New York evening wear
