Campus Safety apologizes to Rubin Hall residents for botched intruder response
Campus Safety head Fountain Walker said the department’s handling of student reports fell short. A security officer involved in the trespassing incident has resigned, and others are under investigation.

Rubin Hall leadership addresses intruder
Students living in Rubin Hall described their encounters with a repeat trespasser in the dorm building. Hall administrators communicated with residents about the intruder in an email on Tuesday.

Repeat dorm intruder infiltrates Lafayette, security response delayed
NYU security took over an hour to arrive when two Lafayette residents reported a stranger in their room harassing them and refusing to leave. This was the second time that the intruder was snuck into the dorm by the same hall resident.
