The Salon of Lincoln Center was packed this morning as a massive crowd gathered, hoping to catch a glimpse of Noon by Noor’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection. Bahrain-based designer duo Noor Rashid Al Khalifa and Haya Mohamed Al Khalifa were the first designers from the Arab gulf to have a runway show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, and this collection marked their sixth presentation. The cousin team of Noon by Noor did not disappoint as they served up effortless sophistication on a muted palette of aubergine, grey, navy, white, black, silver and bronze.

The extensive collection included many of their signature soft, tailored pieces with intricate, hand-sewn ornamentation. The collection as a whole was quite diverse in style. While there were jeweled, floor-length gowns with full skirts, fitted metallic pencil skirts and sporty overcoats with laser-cut geometric patterns. The collection ranged from beautiful formalwear and eye-catching club attire to elegant but casual pieces for daytime. What united this large collection was the unmistakable attention to detail and hand-sewn embellishments.

The true standouts were a stunning white, jeweled evening gown with a cape that evoked classic, old Hollywood glamour, an exquisite leather trapeze coat with jeweled epaulettes and an unexpectedly sexy silk, floral patterned crop top and matching, fitted capri pants, worn under a loose, silver foil, knit overcoat. This ambitious collection exuded charm and bold individuality while remaining very wearable and appropriate for every fashion-forward lifestyle.
