JSong Fall/Winter 2015

Inspired from abstract art and transcendental nature, Way Zen, designer of JSong International has truly outdone herself with her Fall/Winter 2015 collection. The atmosphere was cozy inside her 36th street location, and the audience was buzzing with anticipation as they waited for the show to begin. A modern oriental beat started off the show and the models stomped down the runway in a range of styles from floral lace dresses to heavy wool overcoats in reds and navy’s.

The first look featured a simple white top and pants combo, adorned with a stunning multi-color jacquard abstract floral coat. The line is for the global woman; with wool blazers, sexy and chic jumpsuits, and stand-out pieces like a black cotton-felt duster, all pieces are made for the woman on the go.

A few looks took the global inspiration a bit far. Namely, an orange bodycon sparkly outfit that seemed a bit out of place next to the equally strange velvet and jersey jeggings. But the stunning craftsmanship of the structured velvet blazers and wine colored cashmere and wool coat brought everything together.  The show was a very inventive take on classic styles.

“We are living in a global world and going from here to there, this is no longer one season.” says Zen, who was all smiles after a very successful show.
