Gents Spring 2015

Making no pretense, lifestyle line Gents debuted its Spring 2015 line with a collection that was almost striking in its ease. Utilizing a palette of grey underscored with muted reds and blues, fitted capri sweatpants and heathered cotton tee shirts dominated.

Inspiration taken from boxing and racecar driving became evident in button-downs with paneled sleeves, colorblocked sweats, and leather baseball caps. Graphic tees and cotton henleys made an appearance, but the collection was not sloppy in its casualness. Jeans were grey or dark-washed and fitted, and fabrics like lambskin and leather offset the use of cotton and terry.

While the level of simplicity present is practically ambitious, the Gents Spring collection is very nearly a collection of basics and conventionally masculine pieces. Coral baseball hats hinted at a deviation from this standard sportiness, but was not realized enough to make the collection significantly memorable.
