Withholding or even threatening to withhold billions of dollars in federal funds is not an appropriate response to a law passed by an elected state government, no matter how deplorable.
The umbrage that many take with gender-neutral restrooms is not one rooted in feasibility, cost, or safety, but in a specific bias against the LGBTQ community members who would benefit from this much needed change.
If everyone used the co-ed bathroom system, there would be less pressure on transgender people to conform to an identity that does not fit them or potential for them to be shamed for being themselves.
