Araks Yeramyan revealed her 2014 Autumn line at the Canoe Studios, looking over the Hudson River. A quick glance into the spacious loft, soft pastel-gray curtains flowed behind the models, giving every piece a feminine and wispy touch. Using patterns of polka dots and stripes, Yeramyan mixed various textures of tweed and chiffon to create a look that was uncomplicatedly beautiful. Dark red lips and long wavy hair emphasized the models’ outfits by contrasting to their menswear-inspired looks. Thick blazers dressed over loose pants and skirts matched perfectly to the black Chelsea boots to form a day to night look  .

Yeramyan’s remarkable attention to detail was clearly seen in the peplums and stitching of her pieces. Yeramyan formed a compromise between an empire and drop-waist through the use of a declining waist, seen in a red and black striped dress that was paired with a ruffled neckline. This added an edge to the otherwise simple structure.

A common aspect among all the looks was the muted color palate that seemed to have drawn inspiration from a forest. Navy, maroon, black and olive green colored the pieces that matched perfectly with a type of woodland atmosphere. Two pieces, however, stood out among the rest through their beauty of the ever-popular trend of sheer clothing. The Gaelle dress in black silk chiffon and the Genesis dress in chiffon paired with the Friedal trousers demanded attention with the sun shining through their thin fabrics.

Through the playful dresses and sheer tops, the collection seemed to be geared toward a younger crowd than her past presentations. Although Yeramyan used factors that would be considered standard in design, she invented a new way to showcase each of their individuality by creating clothes that were not only stylish, but practical and effortlessly cool.
