Police Arrest Undresser at West 4th Street Starbucks

From Feb. 16 to Feb. 24, the NYU Department of Public Safety received one report of criminal mischief, seven reports of controlled substance violations, one report of disorderly conduct, two reports of harassment, two reports of larceny, one report of stalking and one report of trespassing.

Criminal Mischief

On Feb. 17, an NYU resident assistant reported that a bulletin board had been torn down and dismantled in Third Avenue North Residence Hall. Police notification was declined, and the case has been referred to the Office of Community Standards.

On Feb. 18 at 2:00 a.m., an NYU RA reported that two bulletin boards had been torn down and dismantled in Gramercy Green Residence Hall. Police notification was declined, and the case is open and under investigation.

Controlled Substance Violation

On Feb. 17 at 1:30 a.m., an NYU RA reported that she recovered alcohol from one of the dormitories in Brittany Residence Hall. Police notificated was declined, and the case has been referred to the Office of Community Standards.

On Feb. 17 at 11:20 p.m., an NYU RA reported that during rounds she recovered alcohol from one of the dormitories at University Residence Hall. Police notification was declined, and the case has been referred to the Office of Community Standards.

On Feb. 18 at 10:00 p.m., Public Safety responded to a report of an alleged controlled substance violation in Third Avenue North Residence Hall and recovered a small amount of marijuana from the residence. Police notification was declined, and the case has been referred to the Office of Community Standards.

On Feb. 19 at 4:14 p.m., an NYU RA reported that during rounds she recovered alcohol from one of the dormitories in Palladium Residence Hall. Public Safety responded and recovered marijuana from the residence. Police notification was declined, and the case has been referred to the Office of Community Standards.

On Feb. 20 at 6:37 a.m., an NYU RA reported that during a check-in she recovered alcohol from one of the dormitories in Gramercy Green Residence Hall. Police notification was declined, and the case has been referred to the Office of Community Standards.

On Feb. 21 at 9:20 p.m., Public Safety responded to a report of an alleged controlled substance violation in Founders Residence Hall and recovered a small amount of marijuana from the residence. The case has been referred to the Office of Community Standards

Disorderly Conduct

On Feb. 17 at 7:35 p.m., an employee at the 45 W. 4th St. Starbucks reported that a homeless person was undressing himself and refusing to leave when asked. A police report was filed and an arrest was made.

Harassment

On Feb. 16 at 4:30 a.m., an NYU student reported that she was a victim of sexual harassment at Lipton Residence Hall. Police notification was declined, and the case is open and under investigation.

On Feb. 21 at 8:51 p.m., an NYU staff member at the Dental Center reported that she was harassed via email. Police notification was declined, and the case is open and under investigation.

Larceny

On Feb. 16, an NYU student reported that his MTA card was used after being delivered to Carlyle Court Residence Hall. Police notification was declined, and the case is open and under investigation.

On Feb. 20 at 5:20 p.m., an NYU student reported that her headphones were missing from a table on the first floor of 44 W. 4th St. Police notification was declined, and the case is open and under investigation.

Stalking

On Feb. 21 at 10:00 p.m., an NYU student in Lafayette Residence Hall reported that she was being electronically and physically stalked. Police notification was declined, and the case is open and under investigation.

Trespassing

On Feb. 21 at 1:05 p.m., an NYU staff member reported that he saw a student on the ninth floor terrace of Furman Hall. The student was ushered out of the building, police notification was declined and the case is open and under investigation.
