Chu Jia Sing is a first-year studying Economics with a minor in Social Cultural Analysis in CAS. She identifies as a Chinese homosexual woman. She is able-bodied, and she comes from a middle-class background, she said she did not have to worry too much about money when growing up. She is agnostic. As an international student from Singapore, where the majority of people are Chinese, she explained that before coming to New York City, Sing did not have to think too much about race. In addition, she noted that free speech in the United States is different from in Singapore, where more censorship exists.
