Food Consumes Us

April 16, 2018

It’s a food lover’s dream to write about food and read about it as often as I do. Reading about ungodly cheese creations and finding what restaurant I should surrender all my money to next feels like a passion project rather than a job at times. Those who know me have, often unfortunately, experienced my enthusiasm for food through my intense food photos that really showcase food in a different form. Exploring the seamless transition from consuming food first hand to reading about it is something I find revolutionary — textures are translated into words and smells are crafted to tickle the nose as your eyes skim. With all this said, my relationship with food has been a complex one, and it has oftentimes managed to consume me. I’m hoping you see how food has managed to consume us and the good and bad of us losing sight of this shift in power.
