Lipton Residence Hall is one of the most coveted freshman halls, largely due to the fact that it sits proudly on the west end of Washington Square Park and hosts a dining hall on its main floor. All rooms in Lipton are singles, doubles or triples. Like many first-year residence halls, Lipton rooms do not have kitchens or common areas.
LS freshman and Lipton resident Raymond Reyes talked about the other bonuses of living at Lipton.
“My favorite parts are the study rooms on the first floor because it’s quiet and rarely busy,” Reyes said. “The dorm rooms are also relatively new and modern compared to other residence halls.”
However, Reyes does see one downside in living at Lipton and said, “The bathrooms are tiny!”
Stern senior Lipton Resident Assistant spoke about the Lipton community atmosphere and said, “The faculty fellows, John and Tae Hong, organize a great deal of programs that cater to everyone’s interests; through Broadway shows, holiday celebrations and dinners, among several other events, they help make this large community into a rather close-knit one.”
If you are looking to live at the heart of campus with a close community, Lipton is the place to be.
