Stern alumnus acts a fool to students delight

Actor, comedian and NYU alumnus Aziz Ansari shared his newest stand-up routine with his alma mater last night at the Skirball Center.
The new routine related well to his audience; he joked about being distracted by the Internet while trying to work, eating too much and clubbing with Jay-Z and Kanye West.
When Ansari told his clubbing story, he described the fish-out-of water situation he found himself in: "Jay-Z was drinking vodka, that he makes! As he's signing checks, there's money going back into his own pocket!"
He added: "You crazy for this one, Hov!"
He went on about a father asking Ansari to watch his son at an animatronic dinosaur show.
"I'm not a pedophile at all, but I totally could've had sex with that kid," Ansari said.
Comedian John Mulaney, a panelist on VH1's show "Best Week Ever" and a writing supervisor on "Saturday Night Live," opened up the show for Ansari. Mulaney joked about everyday life in New York City, which, for him, included an anecdote about running to catch a subway while a woman in front of him got the impression that he was trying to sexually assault her.
Many NYU students enjoyed the performance.
"I've seen clips of him on YouTube, but he had some really funny new material," LSP freshman Amanda Dissinger said.
For GLS freshman Sinead Carney, it was her first stand-up show.
"I was pleasantly surprised; it was a good first show," Carney said.
Stern freshman Abhi Kanakadandila was near speechless after the show.
"It was better than sex," he said.
