Samuel, Thank you for this. You have clarified what has been muddled about in my mind for a long time. BTW I was a member of the first Episcopal parish in the San Diego Diocese which had many of it's congregants leave over the gay bishop issue. Being in the midst of that was not only painful, but confusing to me. So thank-you again for helping me to understand what should be done, and I agree with you.
