Hmm, the most liberal denomination with respect to homosexuality is the UCC. It is also the fastest declining. The second most liberal was the Episcopalian. It was last year's fastest declining.
The author's wish may come true for the Church of England with the exiting of the Anglo-catholics. Then the CoE can be as "successful" as say, the Church of Sweden, who recently announced their first lesbian bishop. How's that working for Sweden? Church attendance is down to 2-3%. What will happen to the Anglican Communion when the mother church falls to such irrelevant proportions?
